I'm just trying to save you the pain in the long term. Once you've done one race you'll regret not doing the series!

yeah, but choice wise I would still sooner race SoT as i am used to the bike, prefer the circuits and its would be cheaper for me.

So it would have to be something significant to persaude me into DD at the moment

You'd race Bob? Remember, there's a MUCH higher chance you'll crash and I daresay you'll have more money tied up in Bob than you would in a DD bike. Could you afford to throw Bob in a skip and walk away?

Not sure that's the best way into racing to be honest Lily. Obviously it's your call but ongoing costs will be more than DD.

As for DD, you soon get used to the bike and your riding will improve tremendously.

Tony

Cost of Bob - approx 9k
Significant crash damage cost say 4.5k but still have bob to ride on the road

buying a dd bike and doing lots of track days to learn to ride it is probably gonna cost me more than 4.5k and thats assuming i crash anyway!!

If I do SoT it will only be a few races just for the giggle factor
