Thank you all for such kind comments.

Also, those friends who sent me such touching text messages - thanks again.

Death registered on Wednesday - what a drawn out process that is now!

Funeral arrangements made on Thursday, planned for Monday 12th June. My parents were both devout Roman Catholics so she is being entered into church the Sunday evening just before at 19:30 with a short reception service.

Looking forward to getting out on the bike today and meeting up with our truly good friends of the DSC for the ride to Ducati Aylesbury.

On a lighter note the Undertaker had a significant promotion in his offices for motorcyclefunerals.com - the blurb says -

'Available for religious, non-religious, slow, fast and very fast funerals!'

Amidst all the sadness this made me smile and it looks like a great way to be sent off

Mate am sorry to hear this. Its hard to think when you lose a loved one that things will get better but i hope you had time to say what you needed to say before she died.
My only brother was murdered back in march in ellesmere port and trust me when i tell you that it does get easier mate.
It good to have freinds to talk about it with. and you will remember the good times and smile.
Chin up and carry on as best as you can, i am sure thats what they would have wanted.

I'm so sorry to read this, Dave. I've only just managed to get the new board to load properly onto my computer and this is the first message I've read. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Your mother being spared the last few months is a blessing, though. She'll be with you in spirit always.

Best wishes
Ruth

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I remember from when my dad died suddenly the feelings of disbelief, loneliness, loss and sadness that I had not told him as an adult how much he meant to me. I'm sure you have been able to show how much you cared to your mum during her illness and that the love you have shown will have been a great comfort to her during her final days.

David my condolences to you both, I know what's it like to lose a parent and understand what you are going through. Remember the good times.
