The problem that Ian had (and possibly others) is that AOL users have their connection to the internet changed automatically by AOL on a regular basis. This is done by AOL to reduce the possibility of hackers getting into the users system by the IP address - i.e. keep changing the address and it makes it more difficult to get in. The technique AOL use is called 'floating IP'.

A consequence of this is that the message board 'looses' your connection on a regular basis - by ticking the 'remember me' box you tell the message board to retain a cookie on your machine that signifies to the message board your connection status. Then if AOL change your connection behind the scenes, it doesn't matter.

There's an automatic cross check done with the DVLA Nigel, to make life easier for yourself you should buy a Ducati

Nigel, that message appears when you come into the website from another website that is trying to pass across hidden information.

If you type the 'www.ducatisportingclub.com' into the web address box of your browser you shouldn't see the message. Send us an email (to webteam@ducatisportingclub.com) detailing the name of the previous webpage you were veiweing before you saw this message and we'll investigate further.

You also get the same problem that Nigel C mentioned if you try to access the board via the address http://80.243.187.66/ which we were given when we first moved to the new ISP.
