I rode KP's 999 with the higher Pro-Twins seat on & cannot see the point of it at all. What's wrong with the original seat/ seating position?

Here are some pics for the Pro Twins seat. I fitted it a couple of weeks ago and it does make a difference. The brakes are loads more responsive...

Forgive my ignorance, but how? Could it be that you just have more weight going through your wrists which gives the impression off your brakes being more responsive?
