RD,

I have lived near Poole for most of my life and used to really think that the rural views where tops. But since my brother in law has built a waterside house, looking out over Poole harbour and the Purbecks, I have come around to your point of view. I call it water front TV. From before dawn to dark, it's a contsantly changing vista. Tad expensive monthly subscription, though!£!"£$"

Rgds,

Rob

Rgds,

Hi Rob,

I know what you mean about living by the sea, like anywhere else though it has its benefits and disadvantages, luckily the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages.

Unfortunately I'm not lucky enough to have a sea view, they cost an arm and a leg plus several Ducatis, however the beach is only a 10 minutes walk away or about half a mile.

Your brother-in-law is a very fortunate to have those views.

You're right, the sea views are like a constantly changing picture, from a serene, tranquil and calm mill pond to a rough, raging and aggressive seas.

Apparently Sandbanks is one of the most expensive places to buy a property in the UK, hopefully a big Lotto win may sort that out

Take care mate,
RD

Here's a couple of my favs... The first was taken from Gili Trawangan, Indonesia, in August 1990, looking west (obviously) towards volcanic Bali. The second was taken in Mendoza, Argentina, a couple of years ago.

here's mine, the last night of an exhausting week spent at an outdoor activity centre in Bradwell-on-Sea in Essex -with 20 kids/"young people" all with drug and alcohol issues!

these are taken from the beach by Bradwell power station - nice - with a really cheap digital camera after a pretty heavy thunder storm.
