Surely if the guys got 6 grand to spend...It's his...and he should spend it how he likes....

I bought a V twin for my FIRST big Bike...AND had my 125 for less than 6 months before thinking "what the heck" throwing caution to the wind and getting what I really wanted instead of Nancying about and "working my way up"...
Stuff it! if you can afford the insurance GO FOR IT! Yes I know I'm a woman...yes, my age is a factor, However...I'm only passed a year AND my insurance is still expensive.

Yes...I dropped it...(on numerous occasions!)
So what? It's a bike...It's a hazard of biking...

What didn't you like about it presuming you have ridden one. You can't go on looks alone you know or I certainly wouldn't be married to a supermodel today

The 999R will blow any 748/916/996/998 into the weeds don'tchaknow

My 996 is so much more capable than I am, let alone any R. I wouldn't be able to explore the advantages that a 999R has over a 998R to be honest - I just like the look of the 998R better is all.

I speak for me only but maybe it's a similar reason for the others?

Yep - comes down to looks as IMO any modern sportsbike is capable enough - and if the 999 is so good why does Chili prefer the 998

At the end of the day even if the 999 would let me lap 1 second quicker round a track, I still wouldnt have one as they are so damn fugly!!!!

If anyone comes across any aftermarket bodykits then I might change my mind
