any of you good, caring and thoughful souls fancy teaching me how to set up a basic web page? Basics is the focus, I have ntl web space, but havent a clue how to use it or what programs to use. Just want to post photos etc so family can check them out, you know the kind of thing.

We'll have to sort an evening out then.
I can sort you out with Office XP Pro (which includes Frontpage) if you need.
Only potential trouble is uploading to NTL - their servers don't seem to support direct loading from Frontpage so you have to upload using another software, and the only one that I've found to work with any success is one called 3D-FTP which is licensed and cost me about £35.

Does anybody know a freebie way to ftp to ntl webspace???

Paul, I've used Terrapin ftp for a number of years, http://www.tpin.com/eu/tpinftp/tpinftpsetoverintro.html you can get a 30 day free trial at this url.

Paul, I use a freebie called AceFTP. It's pretty good.
I can send you the installation file or point you to their website, your choice. Works for me!
