Fair enough, you've got to do what you've got to do I suppose.

I understand that it must be a hard decision, and with the money that has gone into the bike. It sounds like you'll be having a good time next year anyway!

Do you think you might have need of a 600 or 620 perchance?

Superb bike, sad to see it go, I'll take it off you for £5k and race it in sound of thunder next year, the balance we can call 'sponsorship'

Dave, I agree with the others, you will only regret it!! Just think about the time it took you to put that beauty together. I wouldn't sell a bike like yours unless this is for a true race machine exBSB or WSB!!
take care,
p

Got to agree with the others David. Don't sell it. Richard still finds time to use his 853R? It don't owe you anything and I can only see you losing out badly. I've seen machines with over £50k spent on them only to fetch £12-£15K when sold.

You never do anything without a reason David, I'd get JHP to sell it for you and you might find someone willing to offer a percentage of its true value.

Whatever you decide to do with the SPS David, I hope we'll still see you on the Monster for BHC days out as often as you can make it.

If it's any consolation - I too am having to part with my 748, although I only want £3.?K
Mine for purely fiscal reasons and it's a shame - but you move on.
It's like letting a truely lovely lady go, if you don't, you hold both of you back.
Someone will love her in a different way, but you'll never really see a financial return on your investment.
Letting something go that you have loved, nurtured and grown which is a hugely cathartic process.
In the end it wipes any proverbial slate clean and leaves one with no pre-conditions or expectations.
I have always found such sizemic events terribly liberating and purging and ultimately a good thing.

So speaketh a single man with many such experiences behind me, and besides, perhaps David might dabble in the proposed DSC race series - if he finds any time!

Tim
