I tracked a (albeit race prepped) 748 and a 749 one after the other at Cadwell this year..and the 749 just didnt do it for me..it felt really long and I just wasnt as comfortable on it (although to be fair ive been riding 748/9**s for ages so probably need to get used to it !).

My main gripe though was the motor..I really was expecting good things from the 749's testastretta motor, but it felt a little bit lazy..although this may have been due to the fact that it was quite new.

Must say though the looks have grown on me massivley and if you paint the wheels black it just transforms the look of the bike IMO.

Good luck..whatever you do youll still be riding a peice of class !!!

Cheers
Nat

have to admit, i hated the 749/999 when they came out but when you actually sit down and study it, its amazing how ive changed my mind.

going to nogaro end of feb again so should be fun!got a carbon seat unit and just need to paint the wheels and get track body and were away.

that instrument panel is out of the 'starship enterprise'!should be interesting to see how accurate the lap timer is!got to beat 1.42 there this yr!
