no, but my aversion to all this anally retentive fairing off and calipers in buckets cleaning is very well historically documented and includes a Surrey DSC award for "regions dirtiest ride" .. which I do believe was in relation to the bike ......

I'm with Dibble on this.

I clean it when it's dirty using Halfords car shampoo. A quick rinse with a hose, then a chamois dry. If the wheels are bad, I'll use Muck Off or similar.

I haven't got the time or the inclination to be polishing the bikes/cars every 5 minutes!

I clean the bikes .... occasionally.

As long as it's not filthy I don't really see too much point in trying to keep a bike I ride very regularly spotless. As long as it's maintained it's cool.

If I had an 'R' and didn't ride it all that much I'd probably make more of an effort (don't hold me to that!) but wouldn't for something I ride regularly.

I don't see much point in having it super spotless to be honest. I've just answered in the other thread and lost motivation to write much else.

Playing devil's advocate here (no harm intended)...

Say for example you were as anal as me and/or others do you think you might have spotted the problem with your brakes before the inevitable?

Nelly cleans mine ... don't you mate ....
