Probably the easiest way is to get another cover and get that machined, keeping your std for the day you sell........Dont forget that the testastretta covers are different to the older engines!

Thank you for all of the replies.

Just got a casing off ebay last night for £ 19.00 inc postage

Fitted a red 48 tooth basket and speedymoto face plate last winter (from cornerspeed).

The fully vented casing looks great so I will let you know what it costs once I have asked about.

Thanks again Mike

If you still need a pic of a machined casing, have a look at the Magnesium section on Tecmoto's website, there's a clutch housing on there.
I've been considering machining the one on my bike, easier said than done though, as the remaining sections of the housing are tapered. Not too difficult on a C.N.C. mill, but a bit fiddly on a manual m/c.

This is my original Ducati cover after I machined it. Much tougher than carbon and have never had any problems with muck and bullets - AND as Jon will attest I have visited the gravel trap with it - admittedly not as often as him tho.........

John......I think it is the machining of the casing which is under discussion here not the cover

It looks like the right one

Can this be done in any machine shop?

Anyone know someone near Cambridge?

The difference is to do with an oil gallery that will sieze bearings if fitted to the wrong engine. what engine do you have and whats the cover from?

You can get the older version altered Andy. I got hold of a mag one and didn't realise there was a difference. Trusty old Johnny hackett made the alterations for me.
