computerised MOT test warning - (Cars)

I guess this will be happening to bikes as well but....

I booked a time this morning to have my rust bucket tested and turned up 10 mins late (not my fault for a change) but was told because of the 'computerised MOT test' I would have to wait another hour as he had started another car in my absence.

The tester seemed a bit peeved anyway but did explain later that including the paperwork etc it now takes 60 mins to test a car following a computer programme that leaves very little room for allowances.

It should of been explained to me at the time of booking (but wasnt) that missing the appointment time by more than a few mins can mean missing the slot and not getting tested that day if the garage is busy.

Ho Humm...I boosted the local economy by going and having a greasy breakfast in a nearby cafe before collecting my fail certificate - Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!

Good luck - Frank
