I have been to MC.Tecnics today and had my suspension set up. The results are only what can be described as fantastic. Just riding out of the gate for the test ride I could tell the difference.
I arrived with the expectation of having the fork oil changed and possibly a set of replacement fork springs. As it turned out the front was ok, although way too hard and the rear was too soft; some of this my own fault for fiddling.
At the finish, I had the front and rear adjusted with the addition of a slightly firmer Ohlins rear spring.
What a difference, the bike feels so much better, it holds a chosen line and nothing seems to upset it. You can roll on or off the throttle at any lean and it feels so steady and secure. Before I was getting a rocking sensation because the bike was not balanced. Even the braking is far better, everything is so much more under control.
I cant recommend it enough, best £175 I have ever spent. Well, the wifes ever spent as it was my birthday present.

Sounds great, I have heard good things about MC Technics.

Apart from the firmer spring, do you know what they adjusted, and how far wrong was your original set up?

Suspension is such an individual thing. I was talking to one of the WSB mechanics at Silverstone about telemetry and if they compared bayliss to lanzi.
He was saying that of course they do, but, its just not a case of making a same adjustment between the riders as they have their bikes set up so differently.

So when you ask what was wrong....that should be an individual thing. However after taking the oportunity of riding a ducati uk std bike at silverstone after mine, you realise just how neutral a out of the crate bike is.......it needed arse up nose down......................and some dunlops!!!

I was way out, had the rear too soft with too much rebound; the front was too hard. They increased the rear rideheight slightly aswell. Also with Pilot Powers increased the pressures Front 36 and rear 39
Was out with a group on Saturday morning and the fun I had was tenfold. I just felt so much more confident and in control.

I must admit, I'm fairly happy with my setup but I'd love to have mine done professionally, to see if I'm missing out on anything. Any recommendations for Sussex/Hants?
