do it on the insurance Steve, as what it will cost you in extra premuim over the next 2 years or so will be far less than even buying a new tank for your bike

this is of little use to you now but might help in the future.

If you do end up replacing the panels, hang onto the old ones for trackday or keep the new ones for when you eventually sell the bike.

weigh up the cost of ins claim, I called my company to ask what difference it makes when I had mishap with dzuz and take the excess into account, still better of with a cliam tho and means you have nice new shiney bike again!! wots insurance for if youre not gonna use it.....

Sorry to hear about the mishap Steve.

You'll probably find that the increase in premiums is significantly less than paying for repair. If you've got fully comp it should be worth using it.
