My girlfriend had a Toshiba through work - it was ****. Hard drive failed, wireless didn't work, etc.

We just got an Acer for when we emigrate since we won't have our gear for 3 months, it seems good so far, 120G drive, 1G memory, good Gfx, built in web cam,etc for just over 600. Worth having a look at IMHO.
