Did South of France tour and then Germany (Nurburgring) on my 748's. Also NW200 and tours around Scootland...

Would still do it if my bike would actually run for me....

One word.....Ventura Luggage...it's a must and a god-send.

Love doing big miles on my Ducati, and yes, Ventura Luggage is the business.

yep, numerous trips round France and into Spain ... from 1300 to 3000 miles a trip ... only one minor failure, oil pressure switch but it was on its way out before I left the UK ..... I did have a new one, but forgot to fit it ....

and all done with a rucksack on ..

rode to tortosa (between barcelona and valencia) and back over a week ...about 2600 miles... stunning 3 days in the pyrenees...millau bridge on way back... 2 weeks after buying my bike... 3 weeks after passing my test.

done on a 749s with gilles adjustable bars and rearsets (i'm 6'4") for a little more room... and a rucksak.

was excruciating at times... too small gloves on first day (650miles) rendered my hands useless for nuthing but holding the bars for nearlly 2 weeks!

bike didnt miss a beat... just slow cooked me in bordeax mornin rush hour...

but god i love that bike and i just cant wait to do it all over again...

tunnels through mountains with termis on loud .... hairpins climbing up and down mountains for days...

Cookati...Fltwick?..Blackbirds?...749s...White Jacket?

If that's you I saw you when I was waiting at the Blackbirds (well, when I say waiting, having a couple of Stella's) for a few other DSC'ers to come past in the van and give me and my bike a lift up to the DSC trackday at Cadwell.

Started to waltz over to talk to you about the DSC, but you looked as if you were on a mission and shot off.

Quite a lively bunch of Duke riders around here (I'm in Ampthill with an ST and an 888) - look out for BHCN ride outs on this board.
