Tis the conclusion came to from a previous thread that is no longer. I did ask the question there, and the answer, I believe from Frank ?? -was it was originally tied up to prevent hostile takeovers from years ago.

Is that not the case then ?

Not the only reason, it also allows as I understand some kind of continuity in the day to day running of the club. Also new members to the MT might need time to get to speed, myself being the new boy in the inner rect... ahem have looked from the longer standing MT members for help, and advise on the dealings of the club. Something which has allowed me in a short period be effective in my role.

It also ensures, that when one of the MT are not fulfilling their duties, as promised to the membership, there are people already in place who know the dynamics of the club, and some history and experience to ensure those duties are picked up.

So did I draw the correct conclusion then ?

No-one can get voted off the MT by an EGM means or any other ? Unless by the MT by majority vote itself ?

Hmm - I can't find the original thread - But I believe you posted in that too Gizmo.

I'd like clarification from the MT on this matter please.

My leathers were stolen 3 hours before i was due to drive up to Mallory. I soon posted on here and had 3 sets of leathers waiting for me to squeeze into. We drank beer, talked rubbsih and had an amazing time in the wet on track.

Meeting guys like Alan at AJ Racing, meeting Skidlids who inspired me to race again after breaking so many bones, meeting 4d, glyn, Jools and Keefy.

The techincal knowledge throughout all my breakdowns and part swapping..

I post on here because of all that... and because i miss it all... i miss them guys and miss what we all had back in them days. I mpost because i live in hope that one day it will come back...one day we'll all be back there and it will be a cracking place to be.

I hope to rediscover some of this in DD next year spannering, and on a trip with Mav either to WDW or the Ring and the whole weekend of fun.

I don't know you, Weeksy, but the good stuff is still here. Don't lose sight of that (that goes for any of us).

true mate... true indeed... I saw some of it in a fleeting ride with the BHC lads from Cadwell to some Ducati shop in Lincoln. They seemed a bit miffed at having a Jap bike out with them at first, but seemed to mellow after working out who i was.... Everyone was all smiles and laughs when we reached our destination... it was really nice.

Sometimes you see all the **** and forget that mostly it's a bunch of lads having fun.... a bunch of lads with a passion for biking....

I've met some good mates through this site... i've met 1 real friend directly through this site ... Friends come along very rarely in life... any medium that brings true friendship can't be a bad thing.
