My guess is he was probably looking at his own speedo instead of the fastly approaching car.
He's just lucky his lapse in concentration happened when he was approaching a vehicle going in the same direction as himself..........

Certainly riding like tw4ts but I am quite surprised about the speeds they are doing. The rev counter does not seem to be in line with the speeds. Speedo keeps on moving but tacho seem in quite low revs??
