Not entirely connected to the vibration but more to the "ergonomics".....
The stock lever position means that your hands are tipped up, from your wrists. his places a lot of strain on yor wrists etc.
Try tipping the levers down so that whilst sat on the bike, with your palms flat on top of the grips, your fingers are in line with your arms and resting on the top edge of the levers. This usually means tipping the levers down about 10-15mm.
To do it, you need to remove the levers and remove or cut off the roll pin that fixes the lever postion.

It made my bike and a few customers bikes a lot more comfortable

Now Now! It's nice to see that B19PSK has got the feeling back in his/her fingers, as it's been 7 months since he/she typed the original thread . I'm worried that B19 has put almost 1/3 of a Pound in weight on either side of the bars.Perhaps the front end should be ckecked?

I fitted these foam grips to the Jota many years ago and it was the only way to live with the vibration but we must also not ignore the possibility of, and I know I won`t get the spolling corrict on this, Carpel Tunnel Syndrome!

I think that I have devenloped this over the years.

Given the size of my arms 1/3 of a pound won't make any difference

I'm going to try this.

Great deal more confident since I fitted the slipper clutch, albeit I've gone through two sets of gold colour clutches in about 7K miles. Is this normal....I'm 18+stone, so may be I should consider it two up riding

Not holding on so tight any more, so I've not noticed the problem, so much.

the 998 forum is very quiet because they never ride their bikes. It's the 748, 916,996 guys that get out there and do it.

I tried not holding on to the bars so tightly, but when I opened her up, it felt like two bouncers where trying to pull me off the back of the bike, so I had to hold on tight again ;-)

I use thick foam grips on the Jota as it`s a necessity rather than a luxury!
