Red face help! Akropovic or Leo Vinci??1
Sorry i know its been discussed but further advise would be helpfull, from all parties.

iam torn between the Akropovic cans (slip ons as cant afford the full system and the setting up involved..thanks "iang") at £900 and the look i want, with the bonus of more noise (over standard) and with no setting up as the bike is quick enough.

or Leo Vinci full system (£1400) as its a good deal really?

for me the Akros are better looking cans but what i just cant understand is why a distributer says that there is no CAT convertor option for the model i like (full carbon set not road legal with removal bafffle) ? thought the cat wouldnt be involved at all with end cans as there is no apparent pickups for it?

for example

but wait for it

akropovic web seem to say that your ok on page 2

feeling dizzy now .....any ideas??

Zard, Termi's and the like are all excellent. IMHO Akra's rock. I have used both Akra and Termi products, however I have found Akra's to be lighter and slightly better build quality.

Regards.

Having had both and seen all the others I would rate the Akras way above any other brand. The fit and finish is second to none but the price is way more than any others.

The Termis do 'suit' the 1098 well and they have a raw bark to them. Ducati and Termi go together naturally but if the cost is not considered then go for Akra but buy the full system.

There are no cats in the pipework and they are only present in the original silencers. NO aftermarket exhaust have cats fitted to them apart from maybe the titanium version of the Termis.

Leo Vinci are good quality but to me the pipework looked very thin and I personally was not keen on the shape of the carbon heatshield. Zards are quite unusual and they also appear to be decent quality.

it would be Akros for me, had full systems on several of my race bikes, currentlt have a couple of cans for the R6 one with and one without dB killer, and the ones on Dallas's 1098 look awesome, then again it is the full system
