It's got the 1000 twin spark lump and handles like no other Duke, it really is amazing, try it you may be surprised! Kev (Senna) had a lovely black one mit Termi's at Popham yesterday, oodles of kit available for em too if you want a mile muncher!
Go on Paul, try one for size, you know you want to
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on! Go on!

That's right.

The ST4 has around 105 - 107bhp depends what you read so it has a bit more power than the 1000DS...

Dunno - I like the idea of the looney Aprilia though....

I was basing my suggestion on the power of your ST2 - if you want around 100bhp or more, you gots to go the ST3/ST4S route (in view of your comments on the 996BP!). Or hang tough 'til next year, maybe an affordable 749/999 will turn up. That'd be best
You won't be happy with a 'Prilia, mate!

Loz - I've got an ST4 (detuned, 4-valve 916) - I even looked at a 955 conversion, I think I'm just a bit bored with it - fancy a change.

Paul (Mr MagiMixer) - I might well do, persuade some chappie at DLS to let me have a go on one - I think I just fancy somefink' wiv a bit more power.....

The 916/ 996/ 998 is such a beautiful bike It's one that I've always wanted to own but I can't see myself commuting on it - seeing as some bugger today lifted the little red led housing for the alarm - Jeez why do that eh? I'd be forever looking over my shoulder....

Sorry Paul - why did I think you had an ST2?
Never mind. Put a fork in me, I'm done.

I commute on my 996 (when I can ride it - damn shoulder) but to be honest I have 'secure' car parks at all three offices that I need to work at, including in the city in Bank.

Otherwise it's fine
