I had a pair of Axo's, very comfy but with no real protection. On my last trip up the road I wore through the toe cap. Been out and bought a pair of Sidi's, already crash tested them and was glad I had them on and not the Axo's. I'm pretty sure I would have lost or badly damaged a digit if I hadn't

Thanks for the input peepsies!!

I've got some sort of a shortlist now at least.

Oxstar - sorry, but no thanks, a couple of good mates of mine have these and they're feedback has been less than favourable.

Sidi - Had several pairs over a few years now, as good as they are I just fancy not squeaking for a while and something different (those new vertigo's look interesting though).

Daytona's - Look great, would be near the top of my list if I knew where a dealer was up here.

Alpinestars - I will go and look at a set of SMX, after the glowing feedback they've had here (which I didn't expect) I'd be daft not to.

Axo's - Shame, but no thanks I want something that offers decent protection.

Spidi's - Worth a look, not sure about dealers though.

Dainese - As spidi's, there's no pro-shop in Scotland - nearest is Newcastle.

Going to Glasgow this weekend, so I'll try and find a few places to try them.

Thanks again for all the input!

Cheers!

Scott
