At the tender age of 17 I proudly wheeled an aged (1971) Honda CB250 into my back garden. My mate let me have it for a month or so to get used to it and subsequently buying it.
My Dad took one look at it and said -
If your getting that you'll never have any money!!
Not long after that he said -
Another thing lad ... if your thinking of getting a girlfriend get a rich one ... or they'll bankrupt you When I got my first car (a Mini Cooper circa 1967) he said -
Cars eh! You'll always be broke now you've got that See a theme developing here?
My love affair with Ducatis started in 1998 and my Dad died in 2003 - not of shock - just old age sadly.
If he was still alive today I know what he would say -
..... ditto ..... ditto .....
And he's right to a degree. He'd probably condemn me to the nut house. Thank goodness I've an understanding wife
