Hey Mav, those pictures are so small.............were they Corgi cars I loved the old Lotus Cortina though

This was my first car............1966 Mini Cooper 998

Great car but not too good for sh*gging in.

Taking precautions in them days meant opening the windows

All those years ago and you had the foresight to choose the right engine size

I followed up the Mini with a Ford Escort Estate Mark 1.

Now that was an OK car but it was great for sh*gging in :P

Then I had three of these, one after the other and all different shades of yellow. This colour was called Sandglow I believe.

I destroyed all three but it taught me very early on that YELLOW is not the right colour.

Would you look at that..............I've reached a 1,000 posts.

Anyway the great thing about the Dolly Sprint was the Laycock Overdrive operated by a slide button on the gear knob. They were flying machines with a 16V 2.0L engine.........brilliant in a straight line but just wouldn't go round corners.............hence why I managed to destroy 3!!

Mitsubishi Evo6 (Very much written off!)
Citroen Dispatch HDI van (Still got)
Jaguar V8 4.0 XJR (Supercharged) (Current car)

Reading this list makes me realise that I have both crashed too many cars and also owned too many VOLVOS!

The Volvo Amazon was written off too but that was intentional! I own a small business supplying fruit machines etc to Pubs and Clubs. And every know and then I get a skip and scrap maybe 10 to 20 machines that are no longer "siteable". Well one hot summer day as I was waiting for the skip to arrive one of my friends arrived and we had a few beers in the sun, and then a few more and so on and so on! The conversation turned round to the Volvo and what to do with it as it had just failed its MOT. Well you can guess what the conclusion was?

Rather than spend hours in the sun with a sledgehammer breaking the machines up we used the volvo! I dont think I have ever had so much fun in the whole of my life! We must have spent at least half an hour taking increasingly faster runs through the lines of machines until the car after losing all its water along with half the radiator stopped dead never to run again. Silly but fun. By the way this all took place on private land.
