I am just plugging an "amazing" CD...You probably havent heard of him but...Raghav (self titled)

It is bringing that Asian sound to English pop and R'n B...
It really is a brilliant "crossover"...I know that Radio 1 have been playing one track called "I'm so confused". It is much better than the hip hop stylie tunes that have just been sampling bangra tracks for years...

Quite a surprise reading this thread: I was expecting all Katie Melua and Phil Collins!

I watched some of the Mercury Prize on TV the other week.
Thing is with the current crop of UK bands, they're such nice polite boys, with their pretty melodies; the sort I'd be happy if my daughter brought one home (if I had a daughter). Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, Keane...

I liked Amy Winehouse.

And the last CD I bought?
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised - Gil Scott-Heron.
