that is why I would never go on another commitee and why Ive learnt to let everthing go over my head and just ride out and meet new friends.
Someone has to run the Archery club and organise the swimming, they will never please everyone but if they are at least prepared to listen to other peoples views and act to try and facilitate change what more do you expect them to do ?

Ian you are spot on with your observations of the committee structures.

So why when so much is changing in the direction that everyone wants to see is it time to bale out ? It is a committment but someone has to do it.

Best news I've heard all year! I've been trying to put a post together outlining how much I have appreciated Chris (and CK's) freindship and ride-out organisation over the last year.

Suffice to say that owning and riding a Ducati has been a life-affirming experience for me over the last year, and the enourmous contribution both Chris and Charlotte have made to the Surrey section have been a huge part of this.

Paul

The reason is that by their actions over the time since the AGM it is clear that some of the MT have not changed their attitude one iota. They still do things without consultation, treat people on this board and others without respect - remember the hobbit?, remove threads without following the club procedures, send malicious and unwanted U2Us, etc.

You say there's a new world. Some of will take a little convincing.

We've made significant progress IMHO, it ain't all going to happen overnight but it is happening and we have an openly stated committment to do it.

You guys have the ideal opportunity to make a big difference, why not at least give it a chance ?

It hasn't been pleasant for any of us believe me but somebody has to try to keep things going.

If the hobbit was the worst thing we'd had to deal with I'd be a very happy bunny. Some nastiness from all quarters has taken place so please don't keep on as though you and the others who have chosen to leave now are some sort of saints mate. We've had a good old ruck and its now time to put it all away and get on with what matters.

We've an agreement, lets work with it !!!
