I would push for £180+ for the Hodgson. It's irrelevant that it originally cost £39.99.Watch the couple on e-bay.Wait 'till the auction's are finished and print off the value sale prices as proof of value. You could always send a "receipt" of the price that Adam paid you as well(that would have been £180- ish as well-wouldn't it!

Send them along with the receipt from the special delivery, the Minichamps and your claim form(not forgetting to claim for you postage back for both sending it originally AND getting it back AND sending it to them-trust me it adds up!!)If you are not happy with their answer or valuation, the ombudsman is great! As you can guess,i've actually done this before!

Sorry you've had problems guys, bloody Royal Mail!!

Having said that,i've had at least 10 of these models through the post & never had any damaged!!

Oh,me & my big mouth,i'm expecting the Hodgson 2000,Reynolds 2000,Bostrom 2000,Foggy 1999 & Foggy 2000 to arrive very soon!! I really would be very upset if any of those were my first to be damaged in the post!!!

Any news on the Foggy test bike Jasper? Is it the rarest of the rare!!

Hi BB,
No,it's getting very weired.I have had two e-mails back from Minichamps. They have so far not even come close to saying what, where and when.BUT have asked;"where is the bike now","where did it come from".Very intriguing.I'm wondering if they were planning on doing this model, ran a few off, then decided against it.only speculating. In all fairness,if it comes back as not worth a penny,i think it looks superb so will be happy to keep it.In fact i would go far as to say it's the best looking bike i've got!!We shall see.I am going to ring them on Monday(i don't know if it's a bank holiday over there?) and speak to them.I shall let you know.Best you get that Bayliss boxed up.You KNOW one of those will come up again, but as for this one..........................................?

Very strange that they're not saying what it is.

I hope it's not something that got stolen from them

Mmmm.I hadn't thought of that,One would have thought if it had been stolen and they'd gone to all the effort of tooling for it,that they would have produced it anyway. It's not as if someone could nmake a quick run of counterfeits!!
