996 into 851, any possible probs to look out for.
Finally managed to get the 996sps engine rigged up on a test bed.
also got to the bottom of the electrical probs I have been having with it all week long, which has delayed it's fitting into bike .
Got it running , but it's sounds a bit lumpy to be honest, probably needs a service, although it has been tuned etc before with the previous owner. He quoted me 130+ bhp figures that he had got from it.
Now the question that has been stuck in my grey cells is this.
Will this be a straight forward swap over, there are bound to be a few oddities to overcome, but does anyone foresee serious probs ahead to overcome.
If so,what might they be.
The engine is complete with throttle boddies, cables, loom, etc.
Just need to be ahead of the situation in case it all turns pants.
Not quite sure what an 851 with 130+bhp will ride like though, might be an interesting experiance to say the least.
any info would be gratefully accepted.
If I get stuck, any chance someone can help me out.

cheers
robin
