Mag. Marchesini 5 spokes on road?
Hi people,
I'm thinking of fitting a pair of 5 spoke magnesium Marchesinis, but have heard one or two comments regarding wheels being too easily damaged on our wonderful roads. Don't want to fork out on a set only to end up destroying them, as I can't justify buying them just for the odd track day!
Anyone with any experience of using them on road care to comment please? - Thanks.
Regards, Pete

Worry not - they are less tolerant than standard, but unless you ride a lot on pot-holed roads or are used to landing monster wheelies heavily, you'll be fine!!!!

Never had any problems with mine, but do try to avoid a pot hole/manhole cover that bit more, just in case

Seen some advice to use the lightest alloy on the front and the mag on the back if you're worried.

You gain most from having the magnesium at the front - so kinda defaeats the object IMHO.
