How many clutch plates
In a 99 748 bip in my haynes comic the illustration shows a total 10 plates but the ones i am looking at buying (aluminum basket and plates in a kit ) have only a total of 8 plates whats the correct number (standard ducati steel clutch in at the mo )

Nigel,

Haynes show ten plates in diagrammatic form (for SP/SPS) and only eight for others! read para. 29 all will be revealed!!!

Don't know what others suppliers are offering but you could do worse than go with a new standard steel basket with later alluminium friction plates a la ST4s, much quieter.
