Fitting open DP Carbon clutch cover

I'm trying to fit the DP carbon clutch cover to my 748, however there isn't enough space between the cover and the clutch, so the clutch rubs on the inside of the cover. Does the cover require any sort of spacers?

Please help

Steve, you need to pack it up with some washers approx 5mm in total should do it.

The latest type (assuming it's DP) come with this pre-done. Kinda carbon post things moulded as part of the cover. Maybe take it back and swap for latest type?

You could always try to use the std rubber gasket that comes with the std clutch cover ?

The std rubber gasket comes with spacers, just push these out and put thenm between the clutch housing and the new dp carbon cover.

After fitting DP rearsets and an open clutch cover (don't you just love that noise) I am suffering from a numb right foot after about 30 minutes. Any suggestions?

DM, I don't think it's the open clutch cover, unless your toe's are getting stuck between the grilles

Suggest you try altering rear sets so that ankles,feet or what ever that is bent too far and restricting circulation.

RE: Numb feet.

Think I read somewhere that the numb feet thing is down to the footpegs on the DP rearsets being solidly mounted and therefore transmiting general vibes to your feet.

I found that i get more vibes after fitting rearsets , keep the chain lubbed it helps ,never used to lub it much but do now !

Try stopping a bit more often?
Like every twenty five minutes?

Have DP rear sets on mine and dont find much difference than standard but never seem to be in the same position for long anyway.

Follow the previous advice if you cant get used to the vibes.

You never mentioned if you ride on your bridges or the balls of your feet?

I always ride on the balls so this might help as it is a bit softer than the bridge section of my boots?

Hope you sort it out, if you do then post your methods as others might have the same problem?
