Removing headlight assembly...
I'm hoping someone on here must of done it.....

Stripped the bike yesterday, and I'm just going to leave it with the Renegade bodywork on etc, and replace the headlamp assembly with a pierobon bracket etc.

so I'm down to the headlamp assembly, I can see the bolts which join it to the frame, but the loom for the lights and speedo obviously connect somewhere inside the assembly, there also appears to be a row of fuses on one side.

I am led to believe the assembly is in two halves, but don't want to end up with a load of bits!!!

Any ideas..... guidelines etc

Cheers

JPM, you are correct in saying the headlamp is in two halves.
You need to find the bolts, and I think theres around 9 or so, that bolt it together.

Some of the bolts just hold items inside like the projector lens, fuse etc.... these are the ones to be careful with as your working at a funny height and it has a habit of falling apart in your hands! cover up your front mudguard!!

You will probably need to take all of them out anyway, as the Pierbon bracket mounts the relays and fuses.

And..I did a little drawing, so when you come top put it back together in 5 yrs..............................
