s/ r swingarm
are they the same on the 03 models, I always thought the R swingarm was black.
I know there different on the 04/5 models but apperently they wont fit an 03 s model as they snag the 54mm termi pipe?

any clues.

Karl,

Pre-2004 all 749/999 (including the R) swing arms were finished in a grey cast finish. It was only in 2004 that R's gained the black paint fabricated aluminium swingarm.

For 2005, I think the fabricated swingarm is standard across the whole 749/999 range (but, don't quote me on it).

Sorry, can't help you with the exhaust question.

Cheers!

Scott

AFAIK the only termi that is available and fits with the fabricated swing arm is the 57mm system.

There is a 54mm system that is in the DP catalog, but it is not available yet.
