ebay handles
Don’t know whether any body is interested in this or if its been done before but with the amount of stuff that goes through fleabay we are bound to be bidding against other members occasionally, which is not good.

What I thought would be a good idea is if we had a record of members ebay handles so we could try and prevent this, and possibly save ourselves some money.

What I wondered is if one of the moderators could make this a sticky and I’ll update it as people add there info. Here’s mine:

Erm sorry - isnt that the whole point of an auction that its open to anyone?

I agree bidding against another member would be a shame and for somethings an agreement might be made but, at the end of the day - who wants it most - wins.

I dont wish to be negative and appreciate your motive - it is a good idea in principle.

Regards - Frank

I'm with Frank on this one. Great idea, but if you really want something then the fact that the person you're bidding against is a DSC member won't put you off completely.

The only exception I can think of would be for a bike where the stakes are much higher, but even then it might be one you really want!

Cheers,

ali

I note the points regarding auctions...of course you bid what you are willing to pay.
As for knowing who's who.... if you buy or sell stuff on ebay it's nice if you have an idea who you're dealing with, especially if either party is new to ebay.

If this is going to carry on it would be a good idea to copy and paste the exisiting list into each reply then add your own info to it then the posting at the bottom of the thread will have a complete list in it.

I've edited the post to show the ones so far, or cut & paste like rockhopper says.
