Central Heating Help!!!
My central heating keeps going off and despite several attempts to reset will not come back on for several hours. I do however still have hot water.
Any ideas please?

Room Thermostat seems OK I have to admit I wouldn't know anything about motorised valves

Rocker to eliminate any confusion first. You aint got the emmersion heater on by any chance have you.

You need to work out if you have a single diverter valve or two independant valves. Which ever it is, follow the pipework from the cyclinder to the valve. With the boiler running, you can feel the hot water passing through the valve. ( same temp each side). Come back with yor findings.

I've had central heating problems since the weekend when I finally got around (after 3 years) to fitting a door to the cupboard under the stairs.

The door swings outwards into the dining room, towards the chimney breast. I've got a back boiler behind the dining room fire and the switch for the electrical supply to the boiler is on the wall next to the chimney breast. Now, everytime somebody opens the cupboard door fully, it knocks the switch off.

all is now well with central heating. It was a sticking valve
Thanks again for all the advice.
You can tell it is the cold time of year as my heated fleece packed up on the way home from work this morning
