Re:Ebay help pls Londoners / cyclists...a VERY elaborate scam???
It has just come to my knowledge and caught my attention that my name have been linked to scam/nefarious activities, which reliably verifies that I have become a victim of identity theft. Necessary action is underway to clear my name from this inglorious and criminal deed. I, Oladehinde Idowu, truly reside at No 7056 Clarewood Dr., Houston, TX 77036, but I have no link to the perpetrators of this despicable act, and neither did I have any knowledge of the fact that the notorious www.delincycles.com is registered in my name. My name was used illegaly and I have no idea of how these people got my personal information to perpetrate this act. My personal research has shown that the same person or group is/are behind the following websites:
1. www.delincycles.com
2. http://www.netintelligence.com
3. http://www.netintelligence.co.uk/
4. http://www.kelmet-sale.com
5. http://www.iomart.com

I am an eBayer, Paypal verified with confirmed physical address, but I have never bought or listed anything relating to cycles except Livestrong bracelets linked to [LAF] Lance Armstrong Foundation. My eBay ID will be reveal privately if you are interested.

A thorough investigation of this malicious act will reveal that my personal information was stolen to carry-out this fraud, and I have no hands in this fraudulent activity cum cyber crime.

Sincerely,
Oladehinde

Dear Oladehinde,

Myself, with the great assistance of others here on this website alerted Ebay to the possibility that a fraudlent auction was taking place on their website.

Ebay decided to withdraw the sellers auctions and have suspended the users account.

Ebay WILL NOT disclose any other information to third parties as I have found out in the past even when I have been directly involved in a suspicious auction.

Apart from your own investigations, I can only suggest that you persue this issue with Ebay themselves and their safety centre, the UK example of which is here:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/safetycentre/?ssPageName=f:f:UK

I am still trying to find out who is really hosting the webspace for 'delincycles.com' as I believe they do not know they are hosting a fraudulent website.

Good luck in your endeavours.

Frank

When I put 1+1 together I came to this conclusion that iomart.com knows something that may to unmasking the people behind this act.

If you visit these websites and click on the links one or two of them will redirect or link you with iomart.com.

1. www.delincycles.com
2. http://www.netintelligence.com
3. http://www.netintelligence.co.uk/
4. http://www.kelmet-sale.com
5. http://www.iomart.com

When you are on iomat.com you will the following:

Our News
Release 01/02/05
iomart sign agreement with BT plc for the provision of NetIntelligence software

Release 24/01/05
NetIntelligence MailFilter nominated for Top Industry Award

It is also possible that the fraudsters are just using iomart.com name to make them look credible.

Sincerely
Oladehinde

DCR

Please don't get me wrong. I think that iomart.com may know something that may lead to unmasking the people. The last part of my message reads thus:

It is also possible that the fraudsters are just using iomart.com name to make them look credible.

There is also the high probability that they don't even know anything about it. However, there is something telling me that somebody at iomart.com have a hand in all this.

Sorry, I missed the question in the last reply.
I found out by luck just last night. Out of sheer fun I searched out my first name plus last name at msn.com, and I saw to my surprise that my good name has been soiled. I could not believe it, and I became restless and terribly concerned. I could not be calmed a bit until I registered on this board and the related ones that display and link my name with these scammers.
Hope this will answer your question a bit.

Guys, I'm not too surprised by someone seeing the DSC website in a search.

I've seen our beloved site turn up in quite a few searches on the main engines.

Good luck.

This you need to believe. I found out about this on websearch. I do this once in a blue moon just to see what entries my name search will bring out, and see what relates to me. I am fortunate to have done the search, otherwise I will not know anything about this, I will not be in position to do anything to absolve myself of knowledge of this. Try and search Oladehinde+Idowu on MSN.com and see the result. I will also encourage other people to do same, you may also be a victim.

Out of curiosity, I've just Googled Oladehinde Idowu to see what came up. No mention of DSC but a couple of interesting ones like this one and this one.

Out of further curiosity... Webteam, can you check our friend Dehinday's IP address from the forum register and verify that it stems from Houston and not from, say, Nigeria? Just out of curiosity you understand...
