help I.m on fire
went for a good blast round the other day pulled up to chat for 5 mins started it up pop bang 6inch flame out the back .nelly set it up for ultimap chip & it run spot on (still does) he sez a bit of a pop is normal but ive not asked him about the flames + its only done it once so far

My old 996Bip used to do the same once it got ultimap'd too.

thanks scottch i.ll get some sleep now. was u running ultimap single injector & did u ever get other trouble other than flames?

Tony,

It was on a yr 2000 996 Bip - think that had twin injectors?

But, either way, the bike ran perfectly once the ultimap was installed and never gave me any trouble.

duno about two injectors, but could do with a spare ar$e at times

My 996 ran like that when I had the 45mm Hacket chip in with the 50mm half system.
Silly really but did not want to miss the rideout with the Yorkshire boys so put the cans on in the morning thinking it would be ok.
Had peeps behind me dodging for cover as it kept spouting flames and banging like a good un.
Took it to Nellys who had the Hacket 5omm chip for me and put it in, set it up and it was fine, never popped or flamed once after that.
