Exhaust re-stuffing
I know this topic has come up several times before but I did do a search and didn't come up with anything!
Excuses over, can you give me some advice on re stuffing the 'ol termis. I reckon they're about empty, definately way loud anyway!
Where do you get the stuff, what sort of stuff is it, how best to do it? That kind of stuff,
Cheers fellas

Just put "exhaust repacking" into Google and found this for another model of motorcycle with renegade cans, if you buy termi packing you will almost certainly pay Termi prices. Hope it helps

I did find some stainless steel wool packing meant for racing cars on ebay, whic seems reasonable at £30, but wasn't sure if it would be ok to use that.

I don't think you can use steel wool all the way through for carbon cans as it'll transfer too much heat to the outer shell. I think this is why you need the fibreglass matting.

tony h is an exhaust specialist from the car side of things so could clarify things for us.

I was looking at ordering the matting from here as mine need doing soon.

£18 for 2 cans worth can't be bad.

Silmotor kits also fit Termis. You get a package (as a pipe), has also an isolating outer layer against the carboncans. As I recall the price is about 20 Euro/each can.

Is that £50 for both cans? That sounds good because, to be honest, I can't really be bothered!
