Where\'s my oil cooler??
This may be a stupid question but.... I've had the 748s (2002 model) since Oct. All has been well, except today the indicator relay went. So I took the side panel off, and thought "where did the oil cooler go?..". It's not there. I'm really not going blind, I've just never checked its presence. What is there are some braided hoses going from cylinder head banjos to crankcase.

Is this normal???

I would say that unless your racing or you live in California you will end up with oil that never gets hot enough if you add a cooler to a standard bike that doesnt already have one.

I thought mine would have one to brent but its only the sps/r's that have em, as rock says maybe better for our colder climate lets the engine get up to temp quicker

Living in California AND racing sounds good!

Lee - I should have realised anyway - the grey ones are cooler to start with so don't need it.
