Paddock Stands
I currently have an old micron paddock stand that i use on my 749. Unfornately the 749 doesn't have the option of fitting bobbins - which would be my prefered choice for obvious reasons. I'm finding the cups on my paddock stand are barely big enough and make it awkward getting the bike to sit firmly in the stand.
So i'm wondering what everyone else does, anyone had a thread cut and bobbins fitted? what is the paddock stand of choice?

Cheers for any advice.
Stu.

Ducati sell a stand specifically for the 749/999. Not sure how much it costs, but if anybody's got one surplus to requirements, I'll take it off their hands.

ABBA stands seem to a favourite. a bit more expensive but easy to use and allow work to be done to both the front and rear of the bike.

I bought some Harris Performance stands in the hope that they would do for the 749 and Moster 620. They do, sort of, but I;d not recommend them. They are stainless, and supposed to be "universal", and the Harris guys on the phone insist they use them on 999 when I phoned to say I couldn;t make them fit. I mostly slide a rod right through them and the axle which is fine for cleaning/lubing etc but I'd be pretty nervous about wheel removal. The front one is the worst. It's a foot too wide.

Ive got the Ducati performance one, works well once your used to it. Think it retailed at about £125 but got it from a dealer for a ton.

i've got DP ones front and rear - work very well IMO.

Stuart - you do realise that the swing arm on pre-05 749's requires the special DP paddock stand because the two sides are at different heights?

Not much good if you've got to remove the back wheel or adjust the chain though.
