ebay tat
Well the last two things I've brought off ebay where to put it nicely complete tat. It’s obvious that some people’s idea of good as new is different to mine, a carbon DP front mudguard with a hole in it, and a carbon DP V piece that doesn’t fit.
Ok so now I should leave negative feedback to warn others but the operators of ebay are very clever, you cannot leave negative feedback for the fear of having negative feed back left for you, they might as well, they now have nothing to loose. So all looks well in ebay land and the company makes even more money.
A way around this? Leave your feed back to the last moment, you are allowed to leave feedback for up to 90 days. Leave to the last second then leave negative feed back. Doesn’t work, the person you have just left feedback for now has 90 days to reply.
I think it comes down to one thing buyer beware, if you want something in good nick buy it off here, at least there is some camaraderie between DSC members, I hope, or go to Ducati and pay the price.

Its not good really is it...

Some people's description really do leave a lot to be desired - but I think you are within your rights to request a refund for something that you are very unhappy with.

I've been in this position also, but have been able to balance a good saving against the condition of the item.

As for feedback - I believe you can respond to feedback, so you can say "the goods were not as originally described" etc - if anyone leaves you neg feeback in retaliation.

As an aside - I've tried using Ebay's dispute negotiation service and found it to be feeble and toothless to say the least.

Sorry you've had a bad time out there!

Regards - Frank

Hmmmmm...dunno if its fair to blame Daytona if the part they supplied is manufactured by someone else.

Unless they DIDNT offer to replace or refund it of course.

I do, the part supplied by Daytona was in its box but the interior bag had been opened, it had obviously been brought and returned and they wanted to off load it. I have been rebuilding the bike over the winter so purchased it sometime before Christmas and fitted it recently, Daytona couldn’t remember selling it, and so I gave up. What I object to is the description, tell me if something is defective and I will make the decision if I want it or not.
