Ebay etiquette?
Is there a DSC etiquette on this?

What I mean is say someone spots a bling bit, or hard to come by part for their bike, should we post up we're watching it and effectively that person gets to bid on it.

Or is it preferred we don't say anything and end up with several of us bidding until the bitter end on the same thing, thus boosting the price potentially higher??

Thoughts...

Frank usually posts everything for sale on ebay for us, thereby saving us from having to deal with this ethical dilemma!

I'm a mean little bugger, so tend to keep quiet on things I might find v.hard to source elsewhere. If however I found something I might find just 'useful' or a backup then I'd probably post it here.

Cheers,

Ali

It's an auction, you pay what you think it's worth, doesn't matter who else is chasing it.

Just my view,

Rob

Hmmmm.....

Well, we're all quite civil in the DSC, but the prospect of us all queuing up for eBay bargains (if there is such a thing) going

"After you"

"No, pray, after you"

"No, really! I insist, after you"

Can't see it working myself.

Fortunately for me, not too many people are after ST bits...except the set of Marsechinis which I couldn't afford anyhow.

That 900SS FE that's up there for £2100 is mine, all mine I tells you!!

Keep your bidding fingers off it!

Seriously though, I do think it's every person for themselves on eBay. Pay what you think you can afford or the piece is worth.

However, with Frank posting all the SS stuff on the board here, there's few bargains to be had ;-)

Cheers
Phill

lol - I'm not sure if I feel praised or castigated

I'm with Rob on this one to some extent - its an auction a 'free-for-all' but that does not mean that it would stop me posting something that I was also bidding on.....if someone really wants it badly then they will pay the price up to the original price (or beyond if its unobtainable).

There is a list of members and their Ebay ID's so that we can try and keep track of people but, its quite a long list..........

Thats about all I can manage after consumin lots of watery black stuff !!!!!

night, night - Frank
