Can all you chaps who have fitted these please shed light?

I've just started to fit these and notice they are a bit longer than the original bars. Noticable especially on the right side where the throttle is keyed into the bar, this leave and ugly end sticking out. In addition the supplied bar ends are about a million feet long which adds to the uglyness.

Has anyone got any ideas?
Have you cut yours?
Have you used different bar ends?

I think the bars look quite good longer TBH. Alternatively, get some smaller bar ends, but dont think its a good idead to cut em down as they are tailored

Further help and comments please?

Just come in from the garage after doing a bit mor on the bars. Can anyone tell me why the resevoir for the brake id the size of a house and the clutch one is a nice rinky dinky looking thing.

I was wondering if there was a technical reason why I shouldn't buy another clutch resevoir and put in on in place of the brake one. It's just too in your face as you look that big. I figure the small one has plenty of capacity.

Thoughts please?

HELP!!!!

The saga continues.... I knew these bars would be a big compromise (unless I sorced other bits).

I can't get the throttle assy. to clear the fairing on full lock with the bars where I'd like them and where they need to be to clear the tank on opposite lock.

Reason:

I've had to rotate the throttle assy. through 90 degrees to get the cable to have enough slack with the extra height fronm the bars.

Question:

Can anyone tell me what model Ducati has a slightly longer throttle cable than the 748? One of the Monsters perhaps? I bet if I walk into Veloce they will ask me for a part number! If I can find one and inch or two longer my probs. are solved and the the "thing will fly"

One option is to send your throttle cable (without the throttle tube/grip assembly) to Venhill and have them make you a slightly longer one. Venhill

I had the same problem. I turned the throttle completely upside down, re-routed the cabel so there is no snag and it works ok. Also, I have about 1/2 inch below the top yoke before the clamp, otherwise nothing fitted, its too high. It will still foul tho hence the 180deg throttle change

do a search on here for bar risers - cant remember whoi it was but they posted some pics which I found really useful when I got stumped. If I get in the garage today I'll try and take a couple myself and post em here.
