MCN Feature re 900ss vs 1000ss
E mailed to webteam;

Hello there;

I'm doing a feature for MCN in the Old vs New series, which looks at the 1989-2002 900SS and 2003 onwards 1000SS/DS models - I wanted to talk with a couple of owners, plus get a `mug shot' type of pic from them too. Opinions on their bikes, reliability, servicing costs, performance, any accessories fitted, tours, trackdays etc - that's the kind of thing MCN want from Duke owners.

If anyone can help me out I need to wrap it up by next Monday 18th April - apologies for the short notice, but MCN only asked to do the feature a couple of days ago..

Email me, or call me on 077 39 466 569 and I will call back to anyone's landline, or mobile.

or here
all the best

Hi Alastair, Ive got a 1000SS DS bought from new later '03. Would be happy to help you out and you can call me anytime on 07710 704478. I think the 1000 is a great bike and represents superb value for money but never seems to get any spotlight. Ive fitted after market cans which are awesome, have done a trackday and some touring on it (I also have a two week trip through the med next month on it). Anyway as I say give us a call if you want to talk further etc.

I've ran a 95 900ss for the last 5 years but I've just changed it for an ST4s so no idea about the 100DS.
