Quick question...
What are the sizes on the front and rear spindle nuts for the 749/999?

Where can I get a 36mm socket from? (Either mail order or in the south-east).

Halfords sell big sockets, but you might have to convert to imperial... I think it's 1 2/5"

No, Halfords do the right one. It's a black'un if you're scanning the shelves for it.

Where the hell can I get a 28mm impact socket from?

I bought the 36mm from Tooled-Up.com, but its the last time I'll be using them... first they told me they had the 28mm in stock, then they cancelled my order, then they told me it'd be in at the end of May, I choose another brand, they tell me its in stock, revise my order, then email me to tell me they don't have any, and give me an eta of the end of May

Tried Halfrauds, and some local motor-factors....why is 28mm such an odd size?
