Captain Gatso obviously prefers to stay annonymous but he has said you can send me the cheque.

All,

Turns out it might not have been captain G at all. Someone took a dumper truck for a nightime joyride and decided to do something useful.
It was all over the local news tonight.
Not so sure the carreering across fields smashing fences down and flattening crops could be seen as useful but as our "friends" across the pond say you are gonna get some collateral. Small price to pay to see three speed tax machines felled though?

Ray.

Dave W was reading an article to me earlier ( think it was in MCN ) about a speed camera that is sited in an area that has just had the speed limit reduced...and they were comparing hourly rates of various jobs...

Turns out that this particular Mr Speed Camera is on about £ 750 per hour.....
