Ah - its good to get back on the old faithful
Took my 916 for test today after undergoing quite a bit of work thanks to WLRacing, and after a major service, tyres, wheel bearings, brakes and final drive it passed after failing a couple of months back on a knackered rear brake switch and front wheel bearings.
It was good to get back on it and enjoyed riding it for test even in the rain with new tyres.
only done about 50 miles but soon got back into the swing of it, it felt like a comfy chair (in the loosest term of the words) and after spending the last couple of months riding the RC30 and RD350 i was surprised how quickly it all came back to me. Am off to spain on it in a couple of weeks and it really is ready, just need to try and get some adjustable bars (anyone got any for sale ?)
One thing i did notice was how slow it felt after the RC30, ok it packs the low down grunt but just isnt fast which i think is a good thing, but for sure the RC would give it a spanking.
Off to clean it again now then off for a lie down to let my back recover
