916 180miles
Anybody out there have a clue what a 97 916 bip is worth in as new condition with 180 miles on the clock..... yes really 180 miles. Been run and serviced and as a new bike. Got the old graphics on it before they changed to the vignelli type.

Cheers!

With so few miles, and if its in original condition, I would buy it and keep it standard. Its a design icon!

By the way, have it services and the belts changed unless you intend to keep it just to look at!

It's got to be worth £6000+ I reckon.
The insurance gave me £4000 for my 1997 biposto which was in good nick before the range Rover mauled it.
(and it had 74,000km on the clock).

i would think its quite unique and very difficult to put a price on, but might well be a worthy purchase as an investment, however such investments are better made towards top of the range models, if you can find them.

I wouldnt have thought its worth any more than any other 916. There are loads of them out there. Now if it had zero miles on it then it might be different. An SPS or similar is always going to be more collectable if thats what you are after.

Difficult. You have to consider that its actually done the bike more harm than good sitting around all that time, and even if its has been 'serviced' theres still a fair few perishables (seals, bearings, tyres etc) that would need replacing. If I was buying this bike then id want it torn apart before I even thought of running it. But then again Id probably just stick it in the front room..

Let me know what you decide..picture and a story would be nice...

All the best
Nat

She is truly beautiful and has lived indoors almost all the time from new. One previous owner and completely standard all recalls done and new kevlar belts fitted. No white number boards or carbon or single seat just as it should be.

Not sure what to do sell it or run it. Guess it depends on its real value?
Thanks for the comments so far guys very much apreciated
