Hare & The Tortoise
Hi gang well we went to Assen last weekend (moto Gp)

and as if i aint done enough miles already this year!
my mates asked if i would do the Honours and take their luggage!

Well a few ££££££££££££ made the decision for me

so off i went a purchased an old (P) reg escort van to take all the gear in and a few crates of beer

so anyway we had a real good time, and when we got back to dover we decided to see who could be first home!

Gixxer 1000 x 2 996 bip , gixxer 600 , and the said escort van 1.8 Diesel!

Ok the route to us is A2 M2 M20 M25 M1 M6 M6(Toll)

We all leave Dover at 5pm monday night!

on the traffic news is a 7mile tailback at dartford crossing!

SO who won and how?

Dibble you cant answer this

ok then, I'll play...

I reckon the gixxer6 won.
You ain't got a chance in the van unless you doctored the bikes; the gixxer1000 would've spent most of the journey having meetings with the boys in blue; and the ducati's would've had to stop half way to get clutches and rockers changed.

Well guys !

The van left the docs as the boys on the bikes put their helmets on!

I was just at the top of the big hill out of Dover when the sound of thunder went passed
(996)
closely followed by two WASp's (Gixxer) tho's
and then the 600 !

After about 15minutes i had wound the van up to a staggering 85 MPH!!

And there it sat for the next 3 hours apart from a 10minute stop start around heathrow!

SO HOW DID I DO IT???????????
well i turned on the radio and heard the traffic news which said there was a fender bender clockwise section on the M25

and that rubber neckers on the anti clockwise were sitting in a tail back for at least 7 miles from the dartford crossing side!!

so i rang dibble to find out what the traffic was like around gatwick/Heathrow side M25

so i went for the long way round and took a chance on the M25/M40 up to brum!!

and it paid off! 3hrs from dover to cannock !

i was home 45 mins earlier than the bikes ! they stopped for fuel at Toddington !
i stopped for an icecream at clackets lane!!

So me thinks i gotoo go out and get another sports bike to slow me down!!!! LOL .....................yours. Globetrotting mav
