998S FIM Eprom
Hi

Went to see motorapido yesterday - nice blokes & very helpful (ie listened to me waffle on!!)

I'm not that impressed with the fuelling on my 998S (50mm system, carbon airtubes, lightened flywheel may have contributed to this) and I'm looking at upgrading the eprom (currently 996R50mm)

MR said the options are either a power commander (£300) or a programmable FIM Eprom (£600!). I was really impressed with the FIM chip in my 748sps but that was only £120

Anyone got one/tried one etc - are they really £600 good??

Thanks

Andy

Are they any good?

If anyone's interested I've been looking at the FIM site and the ECU you need is an UltiMap U59 ECU (725USD)

I would go for the PC111 usb, no doubt the FIM ECU is very good buy very pricey. I have a PC11 on my GSXR600K2 ant throttle response on that is excellent even when tuned to knock out 116bhp at the rear wheel.
